Praying For Missions

PARTNERING WITH GOD TO REACH THE WORLD THROUGH PRAYERS
Our dear co stewards in the ministry of reconciling the lost world unto the Prince of Peace, We thank God for your Prayers, love, support, encouragement and understanding. Thanks very much for your support over the years. As we welcome one another into the New Year, we crave for more of your support for us to join hands together with the Church Universal in fulfilling the Great Commission mandate by the year 2030.
Taking a look of inspection into the encounter of the Israelites with the Amalekites in Exodus 17: 8-15, it will be easier for us to understand the concept of partnership in ministry. Moses, Aaron and Hur stayed at home while Joshua led the troop to the battle ground. ’As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning. When Moses’ hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held his hands up-one on one side, one on the other-so that his hands remained steady till sunset. So Joshua overcame the Amalekite army with the sword’ [Exodus 17:8-13].
The work of missions is spiritual warfare. A missionary without Prayer support for himself, his family and the ministry is a pawn in the hand of the enemy. All of us cannot be on the field as missionaries but all of us can Pray. The reward of the one who served faithfully on the field as a missionary will definitely be same for the one who Prays faithfully, the one who gives faithfully, the one who encourages lovingly, the one who visits passionately, etc on the judgment day.
Let us join hands together as one family of NBC with other Great Commission Christians to ensure the actualization of the dream of the Church Universal at the Wittenberg Conference of 2017 to fulfill the Great Commission mandate by the year 2030. The battle is a spiritual battle. We must win it first on our knees. May God depend on us. Amen.
